Mustakim Kachara, aged 62 years, has rich experience in weaving intricate designs by using cotton, silk, silk threads and sufficient use of Zari (gold or silver threads).
Rajasthan is famous for fine kota doria muslin saris from the Kota city, his family has been engaged in the business from the past 15 generations.
Mustakim is credited for continuously working to maintaining and reviving this lesser known art tradition.
The handcrafted saree made by Mustakim at times takes two and half months time to be finished, Recent times have been a little difficult, but the new designs have infused life into the trade.
The Kota doria sarees have earned significant recognition abroad besides having a huge demand in Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai, to name a few.
Mustakim Kachara has Indian Saris, Salvar Suits and other dress material for display.
